About m&m (2)
Right now (alpha stage - autumn 2009) no.
The site is configured to be multi-lingual. We are using German in the background to test the multi-lingual set-up.
In the future we will include other languages in several ways depending on the demand and the size of the community.

Active professionals in the development, management, finance, tenants = retailers, - all who are working business-to-business (B2B) around retail, malls, shopping centres, entertainment, edutainment, department stores, etc.
We tried to use the term organisation throughout to indicate that we have members from commercial and non-commercial backgrounds here.
The wide ranging group of professionals also includes human resources (HR), researchers, NGOs, etc.

Currently we more than 5,500 malls in more than 30 countries included and the list is growing and is being updated constantly.

In brief:

- You can view all or just one country here and
- here you can see all and several countries.

In the different directories you can then click on the headings and sort them up or down (ascending or descending) - clicking on any heading below will open the directory in a new window / tab:

GLA stands for Gross Lettable Area. Usually this should be defined in m2 (= metre square / square metre). Of course in many parts of this world sq-ft (square feet) are still used.
GLA should be seen as the best practice in comparing the sizes of units and the rent paid.
GLA is the area a tenant pays actually rent for and includes certain areas that can phisically not be used such as small columns, shafts and portioning inside a unit and along the actual lines on plans defining the units boundary.
Therefore efficient design of a shopping centre will reduce unusable space a tenant may have to pay rent for. This will be a benefit for the tenant and the owner. Because at least one of them is losing out if there is too much unusable space.
It has to be expected that the subject of GLA will attract some discussion in the forums and there should also be some articles about this before too long.

The Account contains just a few details about you to have this membership. |
Profile |
The Profile contains details to be used in public for your personal promotion and some details m & m needs to contact you. We only ask for the minimum details (required) and most of them can also be kept private (to you, the member and us). This is under Registration * and this group appears open. The star * indicates required fields. Then there are details in groups related to Organisation, Contact Options and Personal all these are not required. Therefore these groups appear collapsed and you need to click on them to open up each group. Only add the details you would like all other members to see. If you do not want to share this information do not fill it in. We at m & m will not be using any of your data outside of m & m in revealing it to third parties in any form other then our own reporting of statistics, surveys and press releases - please see out ToU. |

Make sure you complete your profile details as well. Otherwise there is not enough detail to include you in any of our listings.
However, you could use m&m without completing your profile and other members can find you through your contibutions.
We would recommend to you to set up a profile so you are fully included in listings and other members can see and find you easily.
The details for the Profile that are required are minimal and you can hide most of the required details as well for privacy.
m&m scans membership set-ups on a regular basis and we will remind you if you have not set-up a Profile. If your memberships remains without a Profile for some time we reserve the right to suspend your account. This is to protect all members and m&m against non-serious use of this service.
